Most of the time, vision therapy is not covered by health plans. Some health insurance plans will reimburse a portion of the cost of the initial evaluation and therapy sessions.

At this time we do not bill any insurance, but we are happy to assist you in the process of seeking reimbursement. Some insurance companies will reimburse for vision therapy, and others will not. We recommend reaching out to your insurance company to specifically ask about your plan’s coverage for vision therapy.

We also participate in Care Credit, which is a line of credit that can be used for medical expenses at participating offices. We would be happy to help you apply in our office for Care Credit. This option will allow you to make smaller monthly payments over the course of 12 or 24 months.

The cost of a therapy program is dependent on the amount of time needed to correct the specific visual disorder. Generally, our therapy programs last anywhere from 10-40 weeks. The doctor will determine an approximate length of time needed for treatment after the initial vision therapy testing is complete.

If you have additional questions about the cost of therapy, please feel free to contact the office.

Testimonials

“If your child has been struggling with reading, writing or other visual tasks please consider pursuing vision therapy. My son has been struggling with reading since a car accident we were in, and traditional methods of reading remediation were not successfully addressing the issue on their own. Jessi at Vision Development Center in Craig, has helped my son make up lost ground and has helped him have fun while doing so!” - CVR
